that’s simple!Put your gun in a plastic baggy. Wet the holster with water but don't soak it. Put gun in holster and use your fingers to mold the leather around the gun. It will come out looking like this.

I’ve read about folks putting their gun in a Walmart bag and leaving in the holster for a few days. Haven’t heard about wetting the leather. Call the maker of your holster and ask.
Like Kydex!Ummm, it's called wet molding for a reason. As long as the leather is vegetable tanned it's ok. I wouldn't do it on cheap chrome tanned leather.
your molding leather like kydex with heat. But using water!Kydex isn't leather. Its some kind of plastic.
Drawing a 8 “ gun is way more effort than the 5.5” 1873
First thing the ladies are going to notice is your Belt doesn't match the Outfit...
Get a western drop holster belt for Lefty, that has space on the right for Poncho... makes the long drawing easier...Drawing a 8 “ gun is way more effort than the 5.5” 1873
I was thinking! that 8” gun is hard to draw right on the hips. the 5.5” draws just right!Get a drop holster belt for Lefty, that has space on the right for Poncho... makes the long drawing easier...
Then he would have to cut the leather, or buy another holster, and buy another 8" gun... the rabbit hole just keeps getting deeper and deeper with these BP guns...You could cut down the 8" one to match the 5.5 one.
Are you wearing high heels in that pic...
a little one!Are you wearing high heels in that pic...
good! because my other rabbit hole was getting boring! Then he would have to cut the leather, or buy another holster, and buy another 8" gun... the rabbit hole just keeps getting deeper and deeper with these BP guns...
Like Kydex!
thinking a out trying it, to learn something newYeah, that last holster I got was "like Kydex". But it turned out very well.
