Yeah I have about 100 cci#10 caps and nothing that shoots them. Was thinking about grinding down a nipple and putting it on the philly derringer so it will take CCI 10s until I shoot them all up then replace it with a standard nipple.
Yeah their online ordering process is archaic for sure. They take a good while to ship also. Expect some nebulous emails about "invoice" etc. They shipped in a priority mail box stuffed with shredded paper FYI.Well, I just bought the conversion cylinder for my new gun from Taylors. Their web site was a pain to order from. Didn't even think the order went through until I went to my e mail.
250 grain pills at ~850 are nothing to sneeze at, IMO. They thump!Well, I just bought the conversion cylinder for my new gun from Taylors. Their web site was a pain to order from. Didn't even think the order went through until I went to my e mail. I'm not sure how much I'm going to use the CC but in today's political climate why not. I still have some cowboy loads from when I shot SASS. I'll have to shoot them and reload a little heavier than " seeing the bullet go down range".
My dad had something like this when he was shooting CAS matches. Sorry to swipe a pic from the interent, but I can't find a brand / supplier with a quickie search:Now, anyone know of a shoulder rig where the guns pointed down ?
I had something like that. I used an Exacto knife to slit the side of CCIs to fit .Yeah I have about 100 cci#10 caps and nothing that shoots them. Very nice! That one also has a fluted cylinder.
Jedediah Starr must really stock up when they order guns so they won't sell out for a while.
I don't think the run-on-guns is a big factor in the shortage of cap-n-ball. If I recall correctly, the Italians were hardest hit at the beginning of the Chicom19 panic-demic, and they had a lot of serious shutdowns, stay at homes, etc. I would guess that they had a pretty serious manufacturing slowdown, and may still be severely limited on how many employees they can...employ, and what they can produce.

It's an open-ish design with a leather-wrapped spring steel "clip" to hold the revolver in place. You kinda lever it out of the clip. It seemed to retain well, but the usual muzzle-consciousness of cross-drawing applied.

The new Uberti Cattleman II gives modern shooters a new take on a classic design. It is pictured in an El Paso Saddlery Tombstone Speed Rig shoulder holster based on the .c 1895 Al. Furstnow design. (Hat courtesy Golden Gate Western Wear)

Articap,
Something tells me you may know the answer to this; do you think the retaining clip on a skeleton-type shoulder would work with c&b revolver cylinders like the 1860 Army ? Or is there that much difference between the diameter of a SAA cylinder and an 1860 Army cylinder ? My plan would be to order one of these to use with a short-barreled 1860.
