Old style "P" frames do

these do not . And I am darn glad for it too . :D
Having to take out the cylinder to reload everytime , makes it nice to push pin , pull out cylinder rod rather than unscrew a screw each time . Massive wear on that system since your not reloadin from a loading gate like you would with .45 Colt cartridge Model "P" ............I think they were thinkin ahead on that one . :D
Since these revolvers were NEVER made for real in real life back then anyway , who is being Hysterically correct on them anyways ? This system is far superiour anyways than the screw frames , JMHO :D

Das Jaeger :D

PS.....A BP frame model "P" is for BP cartridges , this is cap and ball anyways .

Here's mine, a Uberti. Used it last Sunday in a bowling pin shoot. I have 3 extra cylinders for it.

Nice guns guys !

Love shootin bowling pins , hard to find a range here other than mine that will let ya do that here .
50 and 100 yards at pins is mighty fun . ;) I always wondered where old bowling pins went to die :D Now we know

If ya get the chance Olmontanaboy , give her a run , you'll like it allot .

That Pietta was

a kinda rare one :banghead: :D
Beutiful guns anyway . I notice the Pietta has the 1860 style grip too , not the 1851 like the Model "P"s , bonus rare , they aint like that anymore . :D

I've not seen any with an adjustable sight, although I haven't really looked for one either, so that may have escaped me. As far as installing one, I'm sure it could be done although there's precious little metal in that top strap at the back.

Generic name? I suppose Percussion SAA is as good as any. Uberti used to call them Cattleman revolvers. How about C&B Peacemakers?

It is fun to shoot. Like the real SAA, well balanced, fits the hand nicely and points naturally. Also nicely accurate either duelist or two handed.

I do believe

Bass Pro shops is sellignthe Adjsutable sights model, Traditions I think from Pietta ?
If I remember right they are ungodly over priced there though ? :banghead:

Would be no problem installing a small drift adjsutable rear like on the old Colt Flat Top model "P" .... and then a nice adjsutable front of the same gun , the Flat Top , awsome set-up that gun was and is , Uberti still makes that model in a the cartridge variety , sweet . :D

I believe it was the Sportman's Guide that, in the late 1990s, was selling the Bisley version of the 1873 Cattleman cap and ball revolver, made by Uberti.

No

and they never will .
R and D and Kirst have already been asked , NO is the answer , not enough demand to produce a run of them by either company .

I believe there is plenty of room for the adjustable sight S&W uses on the J frame. Same for the Remington C&B revolver. We used to install J frame sights on both.
