I have one, made by one of the Italian clone makers (not sure if it's Uberti or Pietta. Doesn't matter.).

The question: Barrel-to-cylinder gap is excessive. I believe the easiest way to correct it is to turn the barrel back one turn, but I don't know how much that'll actually move the barrel. Does anyone know what the thread pitch is on the barrel of a SAA (and are the clones all the same as the original?)?

TIA

20 TPI, one turn will move it .050" you will likely have to do some trimming.

11/16"-20 tpi fits intermediate and late Uberti; 11/16"-24 tpi fits Ruger Single Action; .695"-20 tpi fits 1st and 2nd generation Colts, plus Armi San Marcos and EMF Hartford; .695"-24 tpi fits 3rd gen. Colt.
