1938 Tula converted to 7.62Tok by the outfit that used to advertise in the back pages of Shotgun News. I'm careful about what I feed it. S&B mostly, and NO surplus.

Hello from Alaska.
I have 2 of them around here somewhere. I couldnt resist a few years ago with them being so inexpensive.

Hey MR Twigg

So what makes an officers model??

Regards,

Jim

Most of them are "officers models" as I understand it. The rare ones are the single action only models they made for enlisted men back in WWI. Though how you have a ND with that trigger pull is beyond me.

It's just an ordinary 1895. It works fine with the 7.62x25 though I once put some gunshow Bulgarian surplus in it that was too hot! Locked up the cylinder and startled the hell out of me. Since then I stick to commercial loads and it behaves very well. It's a stout little revolver.

Bump

Sign me up for the club! I bought one on Saturday. 1944 Tula. Tried her out on Sunday and she was even better than I expected. My only complaint - need more ammo!

Guys,

Is there any benefit of a Tula vs. other arsenal makes of the Nagant revolver? I keep seeing references to the Tula in a way that sounds, to me, like they are better. I'm planning to order one today and would appreciate knowing. They are a bit of history and sound like a fun little (single-action) plinker.

Regards, Jeff

Hi folks,

count me in. Last summer I participated to a traditional military pistol competition. Others were shooting Lugers and L35 Lahtis, but I won with this '30 Tula. You should have seen their faces :what:

I sent an e-mail to Wolf asking about when they are to come out with ammo for this little gem, and this is what they had to say...

"We do have plans on producing it sometime this year…as for when we are still unsure. I would suggest contacting us again towards the beginning of March for any new updates.

Sincerely,
WOLF Ammunition"

...so hopefully not too far off...maybe.
