Kimber Pro CDP
In a 4 inch 1911 I prefer a Kimber Pro CDP with thin grip panels to make it easier to conceal. Mine has worked perfectly for about 1,000 rounds and it is my favorite CCW. I replaced the ambi safety with a conventional Ed Brown thumb safety to keep the gun thin. It comes stock with a variety of features that enhance it, such as front strap checkering, melted slide and night sights. I also replaced the plastic mainspring housing with a checkered black steel MSH, and use Wilson 8 round magazines with a thin baseplate.
