Any aftermarket beavertail grip safety that can accomidate a spur trigger like on the GI model 1911s? Yes, I'm weird, I know. Oh well.

You are not weird, I have always wanted that for my comander.
I don't like the looks of the hammer it came with.

I have a Combat Commander, and personally, like the bobbed hammer, but that's just preference. I went through a variety of beavertail grip safeties, untill I happened upon a Pachmayer, and fell in love with it. Fit and operation (on my gun at least) were perfect out of the box. The grip safety works fine, and the feel of the rubber cover is great, not slippery, but not grabby either, just right. I'm sure you would like the Pachy for a spur hammer too.

Replaced the one on my Rock Island after being told it was responsible for the pinching of the skin in the area between the thumb and first finger. since the replacement there is no longer any pinching.
