And it's dangerous

To whom?

And have you bothered to inform its originator, Mr. Tussey, of your assessment? :scrutiny:

Has anyone lost a gunfight, prior to engagement of the bad guy, by performing the now infamous Tussey/Seagal "pinch check"? Hmmm?

Nope. Haven't talked to him.

And Tussey didn't invent the pinch check. It's been done since the 20s.

But performing the pinch check requires the gun to be off safe. The way Seagal does it, he has the grip safety depressed...and his thumb is in the trigger guard.

I'm gonna show ya a better way. No risk.

 indeed.

Dude, that may be true, but there's no one way to do a pinch check. Depending on your hand placement, there are 3 or 4 different ways to do a pinch check. Tussey & Seagal do it a specific way.

Yes.

The way Seagal does it, he has the grip safety depressed...and his thumb is in the trigger guard.

I've seen how he places his thumb, in order to gain leverage on the muzzle, but he squeezes the grips sideways more than depressing the grip safety, and it's only for checking the gun's load status anyway.

I'm gonna show ya a better way. No risk.

Okay, ... can't wait. ;)

And it's dangerous. Seagal may be releasing the grip safety, but it doesn't appear so...and I've watched closely every time he does it. At the very least, it leads people to emulate him...you know...cause he's so cool, and they might not release the grip safety.

There's a completely safe way to do it.

Excellent. Let's forego the snark and reserve judgement until you see the video.

By the way, I'm also gonna demonstrate the correct way to lower a hammer so as not to kill kittens, cause cardiac arrest in internet commandos, or cause the Mississippi to run backward.
