1911 recoil springs

I have no idea what the standard spring for a 1911 is, or should be.

According to Browning and the Colt Dream Team of engineers assisting him...it was about 14.5 pounds.

Later, the specification changed to 30 turns of .044 diameter wire. Again...comparing that to Wolff's 32 turn springs...it works out to be approximately 14.5 pounds. It wasn't 16 as many believe. I don't know how or when 16 came to be accepted as standard, but there it is.

You are certainly right about Les and his hard fits, he likes his hard lockups.

Yes he does. A bit too tight IMO.
