My friends Dad wanted me to look at his old mod 12 12 ga. I don't know much about them but I told him I would look at it and at least clean it for him. He said that the barrel is loose and that he had lost a part out of it but can't remember what? 
sure enough the barrel and slide twist back and forth a bit. I have an idea what is up but does anyone know? I have an old Ithaca 37 and can tear them all apart and fix most of what goes wrong but this one I'm a bit lost. Is there a spring on the action that locks the barrel down tight or could it just be wore down on the adjusting sleave on the barrel? Any help would be great!!!
