It's true that Kerry's 100% rating from the Brady Campaign, ardent support for gun confiscation, support for socialized medicine, lack of support for national defense, etc. are all more important than what he did with his medals.
However, Kerry's constant, unending series of outright fabrications over the medal issue, where one can clearly see him make up story after story, each one different, each one obviously designed to hair-split the facts so as to deflect criticism, to the point where even HE apparently can no longer remember which version is the truth, speaks volumes about his character and fitness to occupy the Oval Office. None of what this says about Kerry's character, or perhaps even his mental health, gives confidence that he is fit to be President.
I'd rather have the truth delivered in Bush's tortured syntax than Kerry's eloquently delivered lies.
