My 2 local LGSs both said they couldn't get a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Tactical. I bought one on Gunbroker on Saturday afternoon and picked it up after being shipped across the country on Wednesday afternoon. Really happy how easy it was. Got it for a good price, so it helps make up for the $25 shipping fee, $5 and change fee and the $25 transfer fee at LGS.I better stay off Gunbroker .

I put bids in on several mauser 98's as well as a few recievers, stocks....... kept getting out bid so I made several at the same time. Well you know that no one else bid and had to pay for more than I bargained for, pretty much got 2 of everything.

I've had that happen so many times on eBay. In the upside,I have a pretty rad paper money collection.

Yeah, GB is ok as long as you do due diligence. I pass on bargain priced collectables from sellers with zero feedback, etc.

I've also gotten firearms that were less than I expected, but that's the risk of sight unseen purchases. I use GB for guns not available anywhere locally.

Gunbroker is a real dangerous place. It is a little less dangerous now that the fees and taxes add up so much, but you can get guns you'd never have found locally, right at your fingertips. Which is also the dangerous part, of course.

it is a used market so, there's a bit of buyer beware. I've had good experiences. Sometimes it is a judgement call on how to evaluate a purchase and a seller, but - it is all there at your fingertips. Good tool to price check things, just searching the sold listings and it gets you a decent ballpark idea.
