This is a left hand Dixie Tennessee Mountain Rifle that was restocked as a Pennsylvania rifle by George Dech. I bought it used at Dixon's last year.

Phantom Captain, your dad did some fantastic work on those rifles.

Thanks so much! He was VERY proud of the work he did, especially that Hawken and Smooth Rifle. Now they are mine to be very very proud of and I am. The are priceless family heirlooms now. Took the smooth rifle and the Hawken out a couple weeks ago and let them speak a bit.

Yesterday I went to the range and took the D. Powell pistol to burn some powder in as it hadn't been out in a while. That's always a fun one to shoot and not easy at all. It's my biggest dilema when going to the range, which and how many I'm taking and how to keep the cleaning down, LOL! :cool::)
