I had a small spec in my finish in the Duty Coat that came on an O8 valor I was lucky enough to find. I am severely picky so the spec had to go. The gun was not a blem. Had one long ago, forced to sell it. So I made damn sure this time I made it personal so I couldn't sell it. lol. He's a sponsor on my forum and just a very nice guy.
The best part about Ionbond is your choice of finishes it only limited by what you can do to the gun before you send it in. Ionbond is only a few Microns thick> So if you send a bead blasted part in, you would get a bead blasted part back, in whatever color you had put on it.
He polished the Slide Flats
Polished all small Controls
Bead blasted the rest of the gun
Highly Polished the barrel.
Used Black DLC on the Slide and Silver Ionbond on the frame.
I am going to do a review of the finish and how it holds up on the barrel.
So far that barrel has 200 rounds and there is not even a splotch on it yet. It's slick black just like day one. I am not saying it will last forever. But it makes Sig/Glock/Spring/ well, all of them look like **** in the wear department.
The E trigger only made since for me, Ernie >) It's an EGW.
Added a nice set of Desert Iron Wood Grips from Ed Strange at "Wicked Grips" http://wickedgrips.com
I also picked up a Custom Guide Rod Plug From Ed, with a DW Logo machined into it. Slick! Thanks Ed!
Here is Chad's Info, he is in a very exclusive limited amount of Ionbond Agents in the country.
