I never really noticed how loud the supersonic crack was until I started shooting suppressed. With CB caps, it was a soft 'spang', not a crack.

I have a Winchester Model 69, a bolt action 22 rimfire rifle, that was my grandfather's rifle. As a child, I remember having a 22 Short magazine for the gun. I'm do not remember if the short magazine came with the gun when my father past away. I have not fired the rilfe in a long time.
RG10 most dangerous weapon ever, shoot a victim in the foot the bullet would zip around the body and end up anywhere, plus they were so poorly made they were dangerous to the shooter too and routinely blew up like handgrenades (22 short, about 1 grain of smokeless powder) taking out the shooter and half a city block. I was warned about those Saturday Night Specials in the 1960s. Now that you have shown that, I had to sign the FN logo to drive off the evil spirits.Okay. Here’s the magnificent RG10 with a .38Spl Colt DS 3” for comparison.
I knew it was going to be a RG10… back in the 90’s someone was offering $35 for that thing. I got a Raven Arms .25 instead!Okay. Here’s the magnificent RG10 with a .38Spl Colt DS 3” for comparison. View attachment 1005892

Wasn't there also an aftermarket kit for the 10-22 that made it possible to shoot Shorts thru it?
Yes, the 22LR magazine accept and feeds any of the shorter rimfire cartridges.I had a Winchester 69A (my son has it now). The box magazine held Short, Long, or Long Rifle by their rims and could feed any length.
I've seen were guys made a spacer from pvc or some tubing for the 10-22 mag, it would put the shorts closer to the ramp.Wasn't there also an aftermarket kit for the 10-22 that made it possible to shoot Shorts thru it?
I had an RG10 too. Got it with two boxes of Rem Goldens and ended up running about a brick's worth through it before it began falling apart. Even shot genuine Nobel BB caps through it, the kind that comes in the metal can, in my bedroom. Minute-of-tin can, was able to at least put all six on the paper the target was printed on, depending on its mood. Had to super glue the front sight back on a couple times.Okay. Yeah, you’ll notice mine’s already lost the ejector assembly and center pin. I got for five dollars at a gunsmith’s abandoned repairs sale. I figure I can always sell it to the Sheriff the next county over if I ever get desperate for Chinese slave labor made sneakers.I had an RG10 too. Found mine in an old tackle box from a house cleanout back in the eighties. My boss said I could keep it because it wasn't worth bothering with for him. Ended up selling it for twenty bucks to a guy who just wanted a tackle box gun, this closing the circle.Yeah, you’ll notice mine’s already lost the ejector assembly and center pin.
