22 degree angle deburring tools (VLD) with .223rem?

Which deburring tool to use inside the mouth of a .223rem trimmed cartridge?

The "VLD" 22 degree angle one?

The "standard" two ended tool?

I use the VLD on ALL of my case necks. The standard chamfer tool is okay for boat tailed bullets, but why switch back and forth, just use the same one for everything. What's your concern?

No concern, Snuffy, I was trying to see what others were doing. I'm presently using the VLD myself, as it seemed the logical choice. So I thank you for your reply.

I've been loading handgun for a few years (never needed to trim), and this is my first bottle-neck loading. So I'm learning certain things all over again.

I prefer the VLD tool because it does not leave a sharp edge or raised burr from the cutter of the regular tool. Plus it seems to cut easier. It is recommended for VLD match bullets so why wouldn't it be better for all bullets?

When I'm feeling REALLY anal I hit the case mouths with an RCBS chamfer tool inside and out, then a Lyman VLD inside. Gives a two angle interior chamfer. When it's REALLY REALLY bad I then hit 'em with a K&M that's even got a shallower angle. Bullets shoot better if their bases aren't messed up, and seating them into a burred case mouth can mess them up.
