I considered buying a gun and putting on a different stock but due to the fact that I'm only 13 I don't feel to comfortable modding the gun.

I am old school and the proper way to learn to shoot, is with a bolt action .22 with iron sights.

One has to build a solid foundation of correct, basic fundamentals. All shooting is, is repeating the correct basic fundamentals over and over and over again.
Any time a shooter has a problem, it can be traced back to one, or more, of the correct basic fundamentals the shooter is not doing as should.

One cannot buy skill and targets.

Looks like a lot of mark II fans here.... never knew there where so many..... I just became one.

Bought a bull barrel with the vented thumbhole stock. Sighted it in at 25 yards. with a picnic table, a bench, a cardboard box for a rest, and some paper plates taped to a 5 gallon bucket.

3 paper plates later I have one with three bullets, in two holes. Benn shooting pistol a lot lately, thought I needed a cheap to shoot rifle, Savage does not dissapoint. Love the accu-trigger.
