223/556 some won't pass gauge test

Thanks for the fast response. I'm trimming my brass I will try turning in the sizing die in a bit more. Is there any way to fix the rounds that didn't pass? Thanks guys

Yes, with a trim die. You can check your case length with the trim die and you can reshape a slightly bulged case. What bullets are you loading? Flat base or boat tail? I assume you are using the expander ball when you resize your brass. Real soft annealed brass can occasionally squash at the shoulder when you are seating the bullet.

As for turning in the die, my case holder at the top of the ram touches the bottom of the die when I resize. I have a 4 hole Lee turret press and after I full length resize I neck size as well since it's only a quarter more of a turn. I then check the length and any case that goes over the top of the trim die gets trimmed. Any that do not I sort into a different pile for priming or removing the crimp.
