Dose anyone know of a lod for .223 with 700x and a 55gr. bullet? There isnt any ineather of my reload data books. thanks

700-X is way to fast a powder for normal 223 Remington loads. Which is why you don't see any load data in the published loading manuals.

I've never seen any reduced loads using 700-X, does not mean it is not out there.

Unless you are wanting to load about 3 grains of powder, that combination will be a bomb. 700x is a very fast pistol/shotgun powder.

700X is a very fast powder designed for shotgun which is also useful in pistol calibers. It was never intended for rifle calibers.

I have done it with 40 Gr bullets and a tiny charge of 700X for .22 Mag like performance. Powder position was too sensitive. It worked better in a Hornet case. I wouldn't try heavier bullet than that, and you are on your own in uncharted waters if you try it at all.

At one time .223 BLANKS were loaded with 700X because it is so fast it will bang loudly without the resistance of a bullet.

As said, you could load subsonics about as powerful as a .22 LR with a very very light load.
