Hello all I just picked up 500 125gr rn speer lead bullets but am having trouble finding data for this bullet using 700x. 700x is the only powder I have, no other pistol powders are in my town right now. Since I'm a new reloader I was looking for some concrete data, I don't want to guess. All I have is a lyman manual so I thought I would ask here to see if any of you could help with some data. Thanks for any info.

Thanks I just loaded 25 rounds at 3.1. The hodgdon website lists 2.9-3.4 but I heard that their data is on the low side. Something about them not retesting the data when they bought imr. If these are too light I'll push the charge up a few tenths now that I have two sources that are similar.

Lots of Hodgdon data is old, as is a lot of data from other sources like Speer, Hornady, Lyman, Sierra, Nosler etc., but being old doesn't make it any less valid and it certainly doesn't make it "on the low side". If anything, most old data is on the "High" side.

Well I shot 5 rounds this morning at 3.1 grains of 700x just to function test out of my ruger p95. They all cycled but we're probably the lightest load I've ever shot out of a 9mm. I also noticed that my shot brass was more tarnished than when shooting some fmj reloads and my barrel was sooty after just 5 rounds. Should I be worried about this? Or is it just a product of shooting lead?

Well I shot my 50 rounds at 3.1 today. They all functioned fine but accuracy was very poor compared to what I usually see with factory federal or wwb. I shot at 7 to 8 yards, I'll put a few pictures up below. The loads were very light, once the gun failed to lock open on empty but that was the only problem out of 10/5 round mags. What do I do to try to get better accuracy? Up the charge or play with the oal? The charge was at the bottom of the load range. Thanks for any info you may have.
