.22lr Ar-15...ca Ok?

The CA AWB pertains to centerfire semi-automatic rifle with detachable magazines only. Does this mean I could get a rimfire (.22LR) AR-15 here?

Not if the receiver can take a .223 upper. I'm not sure of any AR style .22 only receiver.

Armscor make a AR-15 look alike in .22 LR. A few dealers online mention that it is CA legal alone with the AK-47 look alike in .22 LR

I've emailed DPMS about their .22. no go, they said it's not legal for Kali so they won't ship any here.

Yep, same lower receiver as the .223 so it wouldn't matter to the District Attorney (or Attorney General) that you have only a 22 upper. We're warm, fuzzy and ultra ridiculous here in Caliphornia.

Too bad someone can't easily modify the lower so it wouldn't work with .223. I think DPMS Panther series is also banned by name?

Professional Ordnance used to make a dedicated 22lr rifle. Was a looker too. It won't take standard milspec AR uppers, but will take one of Pro Ord's 223 uppers. I've seen them for sale here in Kali.

Kinda a gray area for me. So I'm not to sure I'd buy one. But it's your call.
