.22LR wadcutter?

No, I'm not introducing any new product... sorry.

However, I've been wondering how feasible it might be for someone to offer a .22LR wadcutter for revolvers. Sure, rimfire ammunition is dirt cheap, and many HPs offer a wide meplat, but still... I want some wadcutters. I want some or I'll throw a tantrum.

What's the consensus on this idea? Any alternatives?
Oh yeah, I also want a nuclear submarine.

If you filled in the small cavity with epoxy, you'd have a true wadcutter .

I have a tool that might be the same thing as what is described in the posted links but I didn't have time to check them out.
It is a die that you place a standard .22 LR round of ammo in, and then you file the nose of the bullet off, giving you a wadcutter.

Peters made a .22 wadcutter many years ago, maybe 1930 time frame. Increasing popularity of automatics and improvement in accuracy of roundnose killed it off.

I've taken "Stingers" and simply cut the hollow cavity off, thus making a wadcutter. Accuracy decreases a bit but you don't get all the damage of the hollow point when hunting small gam animals.

The thing used to cut the noses off is NOT the same as any of Paco's tools.

The "accurizer" is the one that can be used in the extreme as a wadcutter maker. By flattening the bullet out, more of the projectile makes contact with the lands and grooves, which is where the accuracy is coming from.

There's no loss in projectile weight with any of Paco's tools.

I've got one of those too. I read about it in Gun Week years ago and ordered one. Creates something called a SGB (small game bullet).
Really like it, but it's slow work, though.
