24/7 DA what?

...

So, your _ _ _ _ _ type gun is what make and model and is currently DAK only, with what DA trigger-pull weight?

Ls

You only get the "SA" after the side has been racked. After that every pull is DA until the striker is reset by the recoil induced slide rearward motion of the shot.

So, we're talking striker

Quote: Something between the slide and the striker isn't happening then, because I can rack the slide all day and never get a SA pull.

Who makes the 24/7?

So, I'm still guessing what kind of gun you are talking about, but if hammer-less, and a striker action, as you say above, then are we talking about dry-firing here, with, or without, a snap-cap in the chamber on an empty magazine?

And if striker, aren't a lot of them kinda like DAO, with a lighter pull than traditional DA pulls of around 10lbs, you're pulling something around 6lbs?

lonestar, it's a Taurus 24/7. tried snap caps and the real stuff

I'm guessing it's about a year and a half old. A friend bought it right before he deployed and sold it to me right after he got back last month. How can I tell if it's supposed to go into SA mode. The DA pull is really long and heavy.

I could be wrong, Taurus makes frequent changes to their guns without obvious name changes, but if it is a 24/7 with the Heine "Straight-8" sights it should be SA/DA trigger, older ones with the three dot sights were I believe DA only.
