Was shown a old .25 caliber rimfire at the range tonight, owner says
ammo is just flat no longer available anywhere.
Does anyone have a source? It would be cool to find him a few
rounds for it.
Thanks
Dave
The 25 Stevens was a casualty of WWII. Navy Arms offered some 32 rimfire years ago, but I've never seen any commercial loadings of 25 Stevens. Occasionally you'll find a few rounds at gun shows at collector prices.
Even if only half fired that is still only 2 bucks a shot...a bargain today for that ammo. Most misfires can be rotated for another try and often they will work as the primer compound can be missing in part of the rim.
