270 Win & 150gr bullets?

I have a Savage with a 26 inch SS barrel I use 130 grain Speer Grand Slams with 47.0 GR IMR 4320 and 130 grain Sierra Pro Hunter with 47.2 grains of IMR 4320 for my accuracy loads. I tried several different combos with 150 grain bullets and the rifle would not group worth crap so I gave up and went back to the 130's and gave away about 3 boxes of 150's to a buddy. Good luck getting better than a 4 inch group at 100 YDS.

I had never given thought to that given I don't use ball powders and where I live its generally warm (today is mid winter and its 26 centigrade - dunno what that is in FH, about 80 degrees I think).

Something to tinker with I guess if noting else works. Thanks for the info!
