Just bought a Browning BPS, 28 gauge. Big question-

Where can I buy reasonably priced ammo for this gun???

I'll define reasonable as less than the $7/box on #9 shot and $11/box on everything else I've seen.

Any good online sources? Thanks!

Congrats, Great Gun!!

I dunno of a good on-line source to be honest. I used to get my buddy or a Mom&Pop to order by the case and the shipping fee was shared, since a delivery was being made. [ok I ordered a pallet of the AA target loads in my youth/had more money than sense stag of life/ more than a few times too] This all before the internet deal hit as well.

Yes I had a single stage Mec...but I was shooting a lot, when I and my buds obtained progressives in 28...we cranked out a whole bunch. Pick-up trucks full.

Fiocchi makes good loads and I've reloaded their hulls too...dunno, anyone in your area ( which I failed to look at) order close to Missouri...Fiocchi being in MO might be a thought? Maybe have your Mom&Pop do an order.

We do expect a pic and report on that gun btw...Congrats...:D

Congrats, but the going rate is still about $7.00 a box. We can get Estate shells arround here for about $6.00 a box, but they don't reload well. Get a reloading press, then you can put together any load you want for around $2.50 to $3.00 a box.

28 Gauge ammo is horribly overpriced. Ballistic Products has lots of 28 gauge components, and there's lots of good, inexpensive presses like the Lee and MEC 600. A few bucks more will get you a progressive.

My most expensive reload for 12 gauge runs about $2.80 a box. Bet you can cut prices to $2.50 on 28s.

I also cheated on ammo/ammo reload supplies...win Benelli's , 11-87's and whatever else I'd win...well new guns one wins going toward buying by the pallet...made sense to me anyway. Missus thought I was nuts...never minded a new toy...but a whole damn pallet would sure get a hissy fit out or that woman...what's the big deal anyway? :D It's not it is required by law to use a 2 car garage for vehicles or anything.

" See ya, going to range, gonna whittle that pallet down dear...now you go on to work...I have my day planned--bye." :D Still makes sense to me....can we say 2 door Big ammo dump with remote opener? Works for me....
