Taurus PT145

It's my carry gun, never fails in any way with any ammo I have tried and I've even fed it 265gr kieth wad cutters. Light, small, very accurate and eleven rounds of 45acp ready to go. I've tried small 45s on the 1911 platform and they just haven't been reliable enough. In commander and GI length I love them but for CCW my Taurus is numero uno as the safety is even in the right place and sweeps down like a 1911 as I draw.

Colt and Kimber...have both of these...like the Kimber better

I have a Para Ordinance 6.45 LDA "Carry" - I bought it after I started having high round-count problems, (10,000) with my Colt Defender and Colt customer service evaporated....I loved my Defender - truly, but could no longer trust it and could not find another in Massachusetts. I picked up the black Para and never looked back. I absolutely adore this gun and it's the most accurate 3" .45ACP I have ever fired, (and I've fired a few). I practice with Winchester 185gr FMJ and carry Remington Golden Sabre 185's. This gun runs and runs and runs....It carries flat, is a bit heavy, but is otherwise a superb carry piece....

I traded a very nice, custom Colt Combat Elite for my 1st year production Kimber Ultra CDP when they came out about eight years ago.

I've very glad I did, although I HAD gotten the CE to be 100% reliable after a couple of thousand rounds.

Truly, my Ultra CDP digests ALL defensive ammo without a burp, and it shoots very well for a short barrelled gun!

My only "gripe" . . . after eight years the night sights are starting to dim, which is expected. Big deal . . . I'll be installing a new set soon.

Here's a typical 10 yard, standing/unsupported target shot with the little Kimber, shot at a ONE INCH orange dot target:

45 carry concealed ????

Check out the Tarus pt145. I like the pt 140 so well I bought two of them. Mine are in a 40 cal, the pt 145 is reasonable priced, holds 10 rounds, and is in a 45 cal, fit most coat pockets.
Tarus has come a long way in it auto's, and oh yeah, got a life time warrenty to.
