Well I have a Garand, a Mauser 98K, and just picked up a Mosin 91/30 today!! Just need the Arisaka and the Enfield to finish my WWII main battle rifle collection. The store had an Arisaka type 38 and the stock actually had shrapnel scars at the wrist. The guy who owned it died recently and this was in the collection. It had no import marks and no dust cover but the mum was perfect. I would say a bring back. The M/N was made in 1943 and has a great a great bore. I will be brining that and the M1 out for there 1st shots since who knows when.

If your having trouble finding the ariska look up Anthony Arms in West Mifflin, PA. I was there the other day and they had a Ariska and a Carcano for a good price. One of them was in great shape but I forget which.

Thanks doubleg, i'll try and remember that. It will be a little while until i get the next but we shall see.

Be Careful!

WWII collection? That's what I tried to do. Then you'll find the need to fill in voids. First you try for the Brits, a No 4 mk 1, right? How about the lend lease P17s, WWI P14s and No 1 mk III and III*s? Then you need the Germans, K98k, no prob, what about the Kar98bs, Gew98(M), K-43, to name just a few! The US? Garands, carbines, easy enough? Wait till a '41 Johnson comes your way, and you can't pass it up. 2nd mortgage? The Italian 91 series, all the Arisaka varients, Austrian Steyrs, Finnish Nagants, Russian Nagants (91/30, 38, 44 etc). Is there an end in sight? French Mas', Czech VZ 24 + VZ 33, Greek Mausers, Turk Mausers, Chinese Mausers, Aussie Lithgow Enfys,

:fire: Wife = NOT HAPPY:fire:
And that's just the start of the WWII rifle collection...........
No, I didn't get the Johnson.

Good luck with your collection:D

Thanks sigfan but I am strictly going for the ones issued most(exept the carcano :barf: :barf: :barf: )the japs will be hard, as they had the type 99 and 38 but i think the 99 was issued more.
