One downside to 3 round burst weapons is the trigger pull. I have had a few NFA weapons with 3 round burst capability and I noticed a couple of things.
Mainly, what happens if you pull the trigger and let go before the 3rd shot fires?
Well that means that next time you pull the trigger you only get ONE shot.
And, the trigger pull for each shot is a different feel.
If you play around with it you will notice that shots 1, 2, and 3 in the sequence all have different trigger pulls. It's annoying.
If you have one you'd want to train in such a way that you ALWAYS allow the weapon to complete its' 3 round burst and reset.
But what if you don't? What if the one time you need it you only allow 2 shots, then let go. Then you need to fire again and you get that one shot by itself.
Not all they are cracked up to be.
