Or a rabbit. A rabbit can kill a cop. You take a rabbit. Stick it in the freezer for about a week. Then put it in a tube sock. Then you beat the cop to death. That's a cop killer rabbit.

You probably woundn't need to freeze it. But it would take a little more work.

Frozen rabbit

The frozen rabbit is not so far fetched. Many years ago when I was a kid we had a case not too far from where I lived where someone beat somebody to death with a frozen leg of lamb. Following which they had the deputy sheriff over (small town area) for dinner and fed him the leg of lamb. No this was not a cop killer situation. But was the deputy tampering with the evidence?

Sacramento, Calif.—A man who hit his wife with a frozen squirrel was jailed on suspicion of spousal abuse, police said Monday. Kao Khae Saephan, 26, had been arguing with his wife early Monday morning when he walked into the kitchen and took several frozen squirrels from the freezer, police spokeswoman Betsy Braziel said. The woman told police that when she walked in the room, her husband swung the squirrels at her and struck her in the head with at least one of them. She fell against a table and received a one-inch cut above her eye, Braziel said. Saephan was booked into the county jail.

There are some cartridges I have no interest in but .. ... "annoying"??? Come on!!!
It's probably taken more deer in North America than any other cartridge.
So it isn't some magic cartridge any longer. Wooopdeeedo.

HAHA seriously that is the nicest way of getting my point across without saying what is really on my mind. The 30-30 is a bursh gun and its as simple as that. Might as well take a 12 with a slug because that is the type of range the 30-30 is effective at. It has proven its value over time, but its 09 now and that 30-30's gota go!!

The 30-30 works great in the Georgia woods, where shots are 100 yards or less. I have owned a Model 94 for 30 years. I always get a kick out of the kids today, who think bigger is always better and go into the deer woods with such calibers as the 300 Rum.
The last couple of years, I have used either a .357mag revolver or rifle with great results.

Anything, can be used to kill. It seems that the attitude of the Police, have changed over the years as well. Many of the younger cops I talk to, actually seem afraid of firearms in general.

Me to. It is my go to weapon. I have a lot of rifles in various calibers, but my 357 lever action is my favorite.
