I have $300 to $350 max to spend on a CCW. Needs to be larger cal. then my Kel-Tec P-3AT, easy to conceal in belt holster or a paddle because it will more then likely be to heavy for pocket carry. 38 snub or 9mm semi-auto, I`m thinking. Do not want the 9mm Kel-Tec. I know that a good used is the way to go in this price range but is there anything new in box out there that might be worth a dang. Thanks for any and all feedback from you good folks. Karl.

Taurus millennium Pt145. Its a 45acp cal CCW, or sub compact. Which you can get them for around your price. Great gun really well made and its got a nice size mag for a sub compact 45

Just yesterday I ordered a NIB Ruger P95 with an extra magazine from CDNN.
Gun, 3rd magazine, transfer, shipping, everything cost me $ 281.

The Ruger will be a little husky but for holster carry it should be fine. Not "sexy" but it will go bang every time you ask it to.

Love the Alabama Gulf Coast. Come to Gulf Shores twice a year, and plan to retire there in about 14 years.

I keep hearing that the Stoeger Cougars (Licensed Beretta Cougar knock-off) are pretty good, if you can find them. IIRC they're available in 9mm and .40S&W and run in your price range. No personal experience with them, though...

Well I typed a long post then realized you wanted NIB. But darn it, I'm determined to post something now.

You might look at the Bersa line up. They are most known for making the Thunder .380 which fits your price range with plenty of room to spare (but I understand you wanting larger than .380) but they do make larger calibers as well.

I don't care for the trigger on them, but I believe the Sigma line from Smith and Wesson is right at $300.

I can't recommend Taurus. Other people like them and have no issues, but 2 of the 3 i've owned have had problems, and the one that didnt was a revolver that had 50 rounds put through it then sold. Both of the problematic guns were purchased new since April of last year, so they were not older models.

In all I think you're still much better off looking at a quality used gun.

In addition to the previous recommendations: check out EAA Witness pistols.

S&W Sigma is right in your price range, and they have a $50 rebate + 2 free mags right now.

I just picked up a used Smith & Wesson CS45 Chiefs Special, a nice small .45acp for $325.00 out the door, it included a nice leather belt holster as well. Yes it is used, however, upon inspection, I could only find holster wear, the tube looks fantastic! There are some good deals out there:)

Oh yeah, I'm not sure if you meant you want a .38 or 9mm, or those are as low as you want to go, but I think the Rock Island line of 1911's are decent as well. They would be at the top end of your price range, if not breaking it though.

In used guns I'd look for a Smith revolver. I just picked up a snub nose model 10 which is a 6 shot .38 K frame, for $299. A used CZ would also fit the bill I believe.

One more for the new guns, Charter Arms in .38 or .44 special. Not as refined as other revolvers out there but I think its a decent package.

I think I'm really out of ideas this time....

I would recommend holding off for awhile and adding another $50 to $100 to your funds. This would open up the door to a lot of other options. Here are some examples of what is available NIB (local to me):
S & W Model 637 - $379.
S & W Model 638 - $379.
S & W Model 642 - $379.
S & W Model 442 - $379.
These are all .38 specials.
Or:
Springfield XD 9mm or .40 SubCompact - $449.
Springfield XD 9mm or .40 Service Model - $399.

If adding the funds is not a possibility, then I would agree with those that recommend looking at used. The S&W snubbies and Ruger SP101 are well worth the money.

J Frames

I agree with the above posts that J frames are within reach of your budget. My daily carry is typically a J frame, and I picked my 637 up "used" (pre-owned) but likely un-fired for under $350. Not exactly NIB, but just as good to me.

what is CDNN?

judging by the inclusion of transfer fee, they are not a local place, do they have a web presence?

boalex, the website you put up only has firearm accessories.....no guns

Click on the "Download Newest Catalog" link near the top of the "Grid" of links in the main part of their homepage. Its a big PDF catalog with all the guns in it.

The Kel Tec PF9 with a S/N higher than R3XXX has been redesigned to eliminate the problems of the earlier production models. It is a trustworthy gun that is well in your price range.

Save up another hundred bucks or use the cash on hand to purchase a quality used handgun.

If you do decide to purchase a used gun go to the Revolver forum and print out Jim March's stickied post about checking out revolvers. PM Stephen A. Camp requesting tips for checking out used semiautomatics.

I've been purchasing firearms for nearly forty years now. I guarantee you that you're better off with a quality used handgun than a lesser quality handgun that is NIB.

Taurus

Buy a taurus 38 snub nose.I bought a ss one for $340.00 then ground the hammer off so I could carry it because the hammer would stick me in the gut when I would carry it inside the waist band. You don't even need a holster these guns are perfect for carry. If you can buy a hammerless model
