The snow out here in Colorado has finally melted off to the point that I can go shoot out in the Natl Forest, a 5 minute drive from the house. I haven't shot my .308 in 4 month's, so I was eager to cut it loose.
The Rifle: Remington 700 SPS Tactical, 20" bull barrel, Nikon Pro-Staff 3-9x40.
I'd say I had a pretty good day, shooting 100 yds prone with a bipod.
I was shooting handload's : Nosler 168 HPBT, PMC case, CCI LR primer, 44.5 grains IMR-4895. This looks like a good load to me.
1st group, lower left = 6 shots....just under an inch
2nd group, lower right = 5 shots....1-3/8"
3rd group, center bull = 5 shots.....just under an inch
4th group, upper right = 5 shots....this is the best one, 3/4 inch!
5th group, upper left = 4 shots....just under an inch
