308 suppressor suggestions

Spend you money with MachV: Cheaper and better product/service. Just in a few weeks E filing of Form 4 is supposed to launch . Will cut the wait quite a bit.
Also guess what : a .30 caliber can on a .5.56 is only a decibel less reduction than a 5.56 one is , al else equal. Id' get a 7" or 8" Mach V one, just a very informed answer with no advertising BS. You can send him the barrel action pr rifle and it will be perfect, you need a 1/2 x28 if its going on ARs .
Has @MachIVshooter been superceded by his son MachV? This is shocking news!

OP: Gordon is correct that you should at least look at MachIV's offerings. He has some of the best cans on the market that I have seen.

I've looked at and drooled over @MachIVshooter work (and sent a couple people his way recently, not sure if they've pulled the trigger on one yet though).

I'll definitely dive a little deeper into his product line.

I was thinking about going with something from SilencerShop since they've got a kiosk to simplify the trust process. But if it's a better product, might be worth the bigger hassle of figuring it out myself.

Other folks, who will receive his products have Kiosks . Check around . I made a deal at $50 per each for four. New E file is days away Kiosks will be programmed to e file shortly.

We got cleaned out on .30 rifle cans with our black Friday sale, but I should have more built in the next couple weeks. Running booster housings and other adapters right now, but plan to get some Valkyries and Accipiters built after that.

I would recommend a titanium can to help with the weight on the end of your rifles. Other than that there are a lot of great cans out there, but I'm not one that has to have the greatest sound reduction.

Another thing to think of if using on a gassed semi auto would be looking at the "flow-through" designed suppressors like OSS EL-QD 762 TI, but one does give up suppression with these it seems. But they help with back gassing at the shooter. I don't have personal experience with these designs, but I do have experience with gas in the face :D, which doesn't bother me much but it may some.

I found the SilCo Hybrid 46M, and it looks like it's a good solution for almost every gun I own.

Modular, light and supposedly very good suppression.

Will mostly see use on my 308's, but the option to throw it on my 357 lever gun or 45acp 1911 is pretty attractive.

Anyone have any experience with it/ comments?

"other adapters" you say, he asked... :)

I have the Hybrid 46, I love mine, it’s suppression won’t beat a purpose built caliber suppressor but it’s plenty good for my needs. It’s great ability with ASR mounts to travel from 5,56 on up to 450 bushmaster and everything in between can’t be disputed.

I think it’s one of the best FIRST center fire suppressor for its wide usability, allowing a person with a wide array of calibers utilize a high dollar item to its fullest while they get their NFA tax stamp feet wet so to speak.

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards.

It'll scratch alot of itches, and I may add more role specific cans in the future to fill whatever niche I might find it less than adequate for.

Like a smaller pistol can, or ultra light rifle can for hunting.

It'll be a little bulky for a pistol can, but should still be fun to play with at least. Being modular, it'll still be handy on my 5.56/357 carbines still at least.

I picked the Silencerco Harvester 30 cal as my first can, because of its combination of decent performance and light weight (plus cost and availability). So far, I have not been disappointed at all.

I did look at that, but I might want something a little "heavier duty" since it'll get used on my gas guns.

I'm thinking that the Omega36M might be the ticket though.

A little lighter and smaller than the Hybrid46M.

I'll lose the 45 cal ability, but it'll be a handier smaller can more in line with a conventional 30cal can and I'll still be able to run it on my 9mm pistol and 357mag lever gun.

I currently only have one 45 cal gun that can actually run a can currently anyways.
