Tested my 100gr. Reverse Hollow Base wadcutter load for .32-20. From my 4" Police Positive Special this gets 809 fps. and 145 ft./lbs. This load shows no signs of excessive pressure.

While this is hardly a scientific test I fired this into gallon plastic milk jugs filled with water at approximately seven yards. The slug passed through two jugs and broke the surface of the third, and was recovered from between the 2nd and 3rd jugs. The slug expanded to .446" at the narrowest and .483" at the widest. I'm pretty pleased with this performance.

There was actually a ball of milk-jug plastic lodged in the hollow cavity, which is not something I've seen before. I removed it before taking the photos (trying to figure out what the hell it was...)

As I said, not a scientific test, and make of it what you will; not really sure what this equates to in 'real-world' performance.

The load used is as follows:

100gr HBWC, 4.0gr. Universal, Fed #100 primer, 1.485″ OAL

4″ Barrel 809 fps. 145 ft./lbs

As always you use this load data at your own risk. It is prudent to start with 10% less powder and work your way up. Author assumes no liability for the use or misuse of this data.

The only thing i don't like about .32-20 is trying to see the powder charge in each case on the LNL, but it is a fun little caliber and I just accept that little part of reloading for it.

WCs tend to shoot very well in it.
