Agreed,

Get a rifle that you like. One that you don't mind carrying, one that fits you and that you can shoot naturally and instinctual like it was an extension of your body. Hit the critter you are shooting at in the right spot and go kill stuff. It's pretty much that simple.

BUT if it weren't for over analyzing calibers selection and rifles and such, us gun loonies would have nothing to talk about!

Personally, I don't like to over complicate my cartridges with anything "custom". I have a 338WM and am happy with it. The thing is, "you" (meaning other people) don't have to like it, get what you want, it will surely do the job either way.
