Just like in the old days, good optics cost more then the gun.
If you can not put the bullet where it counts you might as well stay home and watch Television or listen to your old lady whine.
I enjoy the hell out of going back to Upstate New York for hunting, trapping and drinking beer.
It is my get away and I love everything about it. Six weeks of total enjoyment. This year I spent quite a bit in equipment to hunt & trap . But buy once and cry once. It's only money, I can make more and what I have will be pasted down to the kids to enjoy.
Last year we started a little trapping n this year we expanded it alot, bought more equipment and will focus more on it.
A pair of coyotes with pups will kill over twenty deer fawns a year to feed their pups.
In Kansas they put a trail cam on a coyote den. That pair of coyotes killed 45 deer fawns to feed their pups. So not that's parked my interest in pursuing them and other predators.
To stay on the 350 legend thread, I like the 223 round, with the heavier bullets it should be a hell of a deer round at the distances I generally shoot deer at.
I like to keep it under 100 yards so it will be mare then adequate for a clean one shot kill.
I've went last weekend in my Corral boots(
https://gritroutdoors.com/corral/ my everyday wear pretty much
) with merino wools and it was like the coldest night in last 2 months. So many regrets, gonna switch to some proper winter boots now...
