But I'm going to Jack your thread slightly and ask what commercially avalible cast bullets would be good for a general field, target, sthf use at high end 38 low level 357 speeds.

Dardas Cast bullets. Checkout their site, looks like good bullets. Just scroll down on this same page R.W. Dale, you'll see the post about these bullets.
@ RW dale : A truncated cone or SWC are both great all around shapes. Accurate, SWC's poke neat holes in paper, and TC's have a little wider meplat for damage on non-paper targets.
If had to have one, and only one shape, I'd take an SWC or TC without a problem in a wheel gun.
I guess I better vote here too. I say SWC in my 357s because it cuts a nice hole in paper, is an accurate design, and can be called upon for critical use also. It will perform much better on living target than a LRN would.
