Can anyone compare the recoil of the 357 Sig to the 9mm and the 40 S&W? Just FYI, I've mostly shot Glocks and I realize that there is a difference between a metal and a polymer frame concerning recoil.

Shot my brothers g32 many times before he traded it towards a desert eagle. The recoil is snappy compared to say a 9mm, but not painful or anything like that. I wouldn't wan to shoot a few hundred rounds in a row out of it, but is not abusive.

Now the .44 mag desert eagle he traded for... That can be abusive. We shot 100 rnds the other day and I felt it for a few hours later in my wrists. A lot of fun though :)

Shoot a +P+ 9mm out of your 9mm and you'll have a pretty good idea.

Felt recoil between the different guns is somewhat more noticeable though. You can instantly tell the difference between a SIG P226 and a Glock 31.

I just got a G32 last week. It's recoil is about like the 40, not any worse certainly. It's nothing really if you're used to 40 or 45. It's a bit snappier than the 40 but basically the same.

The 357 SIG has more of a backward push than the muzzleflip of the .40 SW. I consider the 357 SIG the faster round to recover and I could develop some very accurate reloads.

Recoil is preceived different by different shooters and depends among other factors on proper grip, stance, and physical condition.

As stated, equivalent to a +P+ 9mm or a .40 S&W. To me it has nowhere near the recoil of a .357 Magnum.

Thats the plus side. Basically 125 grain 357MAG performance without the issues usually associated with them.

Having twice the usual ammo load and a gun thats easier to shoot well with is also a plus.

Glock 31 owner....... nowhere close to the 44mag or 357 mag. The recoil is snappy compared to the 40 S&W of my son's S&W, No more recoil just snappy. It has slighty more than a Hi point 9mm he has. The 357 SIG is VERY Accurate and so far ....never had a misfeed or hangups. I think the slide velocity has to be the snappy part, but I really don't know.
