Come on guys, give them a break. They don't even order from the individual stores, they order from a central point.

Walmart is meant to sell items, not educate you about them. All I care about is that they are cheap--I go to some authority to get answers. If they don't carry something I want, I write a letter to them and ask the manager who should get my input, or I go to the website and try there.

Chances are that unless it is an item with wide or regional appeal or need, it will not be stocked. It costs too much to order a cases of ammo for one store, when most of the stores will have it collecting dust on the shelves and taking up shelf space..

Any store that sells a broad range of items cannot compete against specialty shops with knowledgeable sales people and owners. If you go to a supermarket and ask the checkout clerk why they don't carry Heinz ketchup, they will give you the same look as the woman in the sporting goods dept at Walmart gave when asked about .357 Sig ammo.
