I have a few 357 sigs Glock 31 glock 35 with 357 sig barrel sig 229 steyr m-357 and a glock 20 10mm when I shoot full power factory load in the G-31 I can feel it in my arm later, sig not so steyr not so 10 mm nothing even remote to a pain in my arm. now thats just the 357 Sig is a thumper 10MM is a great round but no pain for me.!!!

The 10mm is more powerful hands down and it's far more flexible too.

The 357 Sig is a fine round with lightweight bullets, but it's a pretty sepcialized. Despite all the hype the 357 Sig isn't really going to give you much of an advantage at long distances. handun bullets aren't designed for that and the 357 Sig doesn't push it's 9mm projectile to speeds that give it a meaningful advantage over a 9mm +P. Few shooters in the world would notice the 1.5 -2" less drop at 100 yards and they are smart enough to know how to compensate for it anyway. If you're actually using a 357 Sig at these distances - you're using the wrong weapon IMO.

A 357 sig will be in a smaller handgun, but will have the same capacity as a 10mm. A Glock 20 is a bit of a handful for myself, but the Witness Elite Stock feels much better.

Hope you find what works for you!

The 357 sig was developed specifically to mimic the 125 grain 357 magnum load in an autoloader platform. It does this well.

It's drawback? That's ALL it does. Period. Given the physical size of the round, that's it. Not really a fault, as that is its intended purpose.

10mm? It is much more flexible. Anything from 135-200 grain slug weights, and muzzle energies that go from 40 S&W clear up to exceeding all but the hottest 357 mag ammo, and can rival some 41 mag loads.

If I were forced to chose between the 2? It'd be 10mm by a mile. Simply because of its flexible nature. Everything from urban self defense, on up to good "woods gun" caliber.

If ( this may already have been mentioned) you get the .357 Sig;most autos in that caliber can be had with an alternate barrel in .40 ....consdering that the .357 Sig is simply a .40 necked down to .355;most guns can be converted back and forth without to much trouble.

simple correction here... .40 is a slower 10mm...

10mm was developed first and is what .40 is supposed to be... people couldnt handle the recoil, and it had to much power for the guns at the time ie cracked frames etc...

i personally love 10mm and wish hk would come out with a usp chambered in it..
