Was looking at barreling up for a large caliber and was interested what kind of long range performance anyone may have gotten or have witnessed with the .375 diameter cartridges. Was thinking .375 H&H or .378 Weatherby magnum, just wasn't able to find a whole lot of info on shooting past 300 yards or so.
I know it would be more advisable to go with a .338 something or other, as bullet selection is excellent and more affordable (comparatively) but figured it might be worth asking this question:
Is someone making extra high BC bullets in .375 that would provide usable performance out to 1,000 yards, give or take a couple hundred yards? If so, do you have any knowledge in regards to the end performance when compared to similar .338 diameter cartridges, wildcats and factory chamberings alike?
