Hi,
Need some quick advice. Local gun shop just got in a bright stainless Colt .38 Super. It has the 5" barrell and is incredibly polished. the serial number starts with ELECXXXX and the only thing on the flats of the slides is Colt Custom. the barrell is marked Super .38 Auto. There is no box but the gun comes with 2 mags and looks to have never been fired at all. There are no scratches anywhere on the gun. the gun is selling for $800 and I really want to know if this is a good price and what this gun really is. It is a series 80 gun but is not marked for it. The gun is VERY tight and very well fitted. I could not find anything in the price guide that matched this exactly.

My questions are... Is the gun worth $800 and is it really from the Colt Custom Shop?

Thanks in advance

If it is a custom, that's a steal. I paid $670 for my regular blue Series 80 38 Super.

Yes, its a custom shop gun in bright SS. they are on GunBroker averaging around 1200 and up for NIB examples. I would get it if it interests you as 800 is a decent price considering no box. Hey!....negotiate that price down some!! Good Luck
