What are the standard capacities of various .40 S&W guns in their normal un-restricted magazines? I'm just interested in double stack weapons.

Please add any that I can't think of:

Glock 22-15
Glock 23-13
XD - 12
Steyer M -12
Ruger 91- 11
Beretta 96- ?
CZ 75- ?
CZ IPSC - ?
STI/SVI widebody - 18,22,24
Sig 229 - ?
Hi-Power - ?

CZs
75 Full size, 40B, and Standard IPSC - 12
40-P, 100, and 85 Compact - 10
2075 RAMI (Sub-compact) - 8

As an asside, the SP-01 is a 9mm that holds 18 rounds that will be coming out if the AWB dies. If they make the extended magazines in .40 they will most likely be 14 rounders.

Berretta 96 - 11

I don't know the others.

P226/40=12
P229/40=12
EAA Witness 40=12
Couldn't find a mag' capacity for the BHP .40...Mr. Camp might know.
SigPro 2340=12
Mec-Gar makes a 12-rd LEO mag' for the Beretta 96.

Keep 'em in the -0 zone :).

You didn't list the all-steel Astra A-100, a discontinued auto which is a copy of the Sig 228. The Astra comes in 9MM, .40, and .45. In .40 it takes a 13 round Mec Gar mag. These are fine guns and frequently available on the Net. I have two of the .40's: one in matte nickel and one in polished nickel.

seeing that list is making me cant wait till sept 14. my credit cards will be smoking by sept 15.

I was in the market for a Beretta 96 or Taurus PT101 a while back and 11 round factory mags seem to be what's sticking in my mind, but I could be wrong.

The FN Forty-Nine will swallow 14 rounds of .40 if you happen to be in Law Enforcement. Civie capacity is, of course, 10 rounds...until the 14th.

Side note, S&W Sigma mags may fit the FN Forty-Nine. Still have to test my theory...just wish I didn't have to use my gun to do it.
