I've used 9.0 grains of Rex3 powder (about the same as Universal) and it's a good load. 9.0 grains of Unique should do the same thing but the pressure will be a little lower.
Bullseye will max-out somewhere around 8 grains, but I have no idea what that'll shoot like.
I use 9.5gr of Unique behind a 215gr LSWC that has a velocity of 1,157 fps from my 4" S&W .41mag Mountain PIstol.
7.0 grs of W231 does 957 fps from the same gun. I've shot a lot of 7.5-8.0 gr Unique loads with the 215gr LSWC but never ran any over the chrono. They are accurate and feel like it should be about the same velocity as the W231 load.
The widest range for Unique with a 210grain SWC runs from 6.0 to 9.7grains, giving velocities of 750 to 1125 f/s, respectively. MY guess is that if you narrow the range of charge weights by 1 grain on each side, you'll find "sweet spot" you're looking for, somewhere therein.
