I am getting really good results with a max load of AA#5 using a 210 gr. Lee tumble lube design out of a Ruger Blackhawk .41. It prints 1.25" groups at 25 yards (5 shots). Last weekend we shot about 100 rounds as fast as we could load and reset steel targets and there was no leading at all.
The AA load guide, V3.5, shows a max load with a 240 cast bullet using AA#5 as 11.3 gr, good for 1,289 fps out of a 10" barrel. They also show AA#7 max load with the same bullet at 13.2 gr. for 1,292 fps, and AA#9 at 15.6 gr. for 1,375 fps. With AA4100 they show a max of 20.7 gr. for 1,575 fps.
