Hi folks,
I looking for a load for this bullet using Bullseye, these bullets are sized to .4295 and I will shoot them out of a S&W 696. I have not been able to find any data for this combo, thanks jj
PS, Walkalong I still have some of your 700x :D I'm looking for a upper end load and would like to start at a mid-range load, any thoughts ?
Sorry I forgot to mention these bullets are cast and seem quite hard.

I load a lot of 44 mag and special with 230 grain swc cast bullets, and always use 4.0 grains of bullseye, which is a light load. 3.0 is minimum, and 5.3 is max. I use them for target shooting only.

In the 45th edition of the lyman reloading handbook there is a load for a 180 grain cast bullet with a starting bulleye powder of 4.0 grains, and a max of 6.8 grains. Velocity is 691 and 1033 for those loads.

Hope that helps

Glenn

Thanks Glenn,
I only had a 97 of these bullets I bought at a gun shop, I tried AA#5, W-231, Trail Boss and Bullseye. Bullseye seemed the most promising but I only took it up to 6.0gr. I've already loaded and shot these bullets, I use to get Nosler 200gr JHP factory 2nds for $10/100 but those days are gone :( so now I'm exploring other options.

I like to shoot Remington 180 & 210 Gr JHP's in my .44 Spl. using 700X. You can get some stout loads with it using lead 240 gr bullets. PM sent
