I don't know of one. I use 4.9 gr. under my 200 gr. LSWCs, but Alliant's web site only lists it for 185 gr. bullets. At this point, I don't even remember where I found the load I use.

I'll keep looking, though.

I am surprised Alliant does not list any 230 Gr loads with AS. Good stuff.

looking at the site right now and 185 is the only load that they show, its a shame ive heard it a great powder and very clean. well clays its is for now

Looking through my Load Log I see where I tried 5.3 Grs with a couple of 200 Gr offerings. 744 & 763 FPS from a 4" 1991. 713 & 713 (imagine that) from a 3" 1911.

I found a couple more with 200 Gr stuff (similar numbers) and a 185 Gr load, but no 230 Gr loads.

Sam1911's 4.9 Grs seems like a good place to start.

IIRC, my 4.9 with the 200 gr. LSWCs gets me 850 fps. from a 5" 1911. But it's been a long time since I chrono'd any of them.

I went to Am. Sel. because 825+ with a 200 gr. LSWC is right on the upper edge of what Clays is rated to give you. Am.Sel. ... wherever I found the load ... hit that velocity with that bullet in the middle of it's load range (if I recall correctly). That appealed to me.

What really swayed me though was some really great benched 25 yd. groups that were noticeably better than my 4.3 gr. Clays load.

Doesn't the Alliant website list data for American Selct in 45 ACP? If you cannot find the data on the Alliant website send me your e-mail address and I'll send you the pages from the Alliant 2005 reloading guide.
