Just a heads up. I have had some issues with some Blazer (aluminum case) .45 ACP. The lot # is M05N6, 45 Auto, 230 grain FMJ.

Out of 2 boxes I had 2 rounds split around the base of the slug when fired, leaving a 10mm or so section of the case in the chamber of my Marlin Camp .45. Other than that it seems overcharged (hot) to me. Lots of smoke/gas out of the gun and burning on the ejected cases.

Might want to reconsider it if you have some. I guess you get what you pay for.

You may want to put a call into CCI. I have had problems with some of their ammo in the past and they took care of the problem VERY fast.

I would just make the reference to never buy alluminum cased ammo. It is always the one to screw up in your gun. They do not cycle well, and Blazer especially sucks. Working at Academy and seeing what we have that we carry I would buy the Monarch green boxed ammo personally.

The Green box ammo is brass cased and cheap as dirt compared to the Winchester, and it is reliable to shoot. Definatly something I would recommend if you have an Academy near you.

Just some thoughts.

Thanks for the input about the Camp 45 and aluminum ammo. I bought it second hand so I never had a owners book.

I didn't think twice about buying the Blazer aluminim in 45 becaus eI have shot 3 cases of 9mm Blazer aluminum through my 92FS and CX4 carbine with no issues.

I've used BLazer 10mm TMJ with no issues. I have a bunch of .40 I haven't used yet.

I still contend it's too hot. I shot 5 in my Glock 21 and it felt like .357 to me.

I contacted Blazer.

My Ruger .40 carbine manual also says not to use aluminum cases in it. Their P series pistols though, the manuals say steel and aluminum are fine.

Blazer has been ok in most of my guns.

I have shot approx 20,000 rounds of .45 and 9mm Blazer without problems. I've shot it in numerous pistols as well as a Beretta carbine. I will properly dispose of all the Blazer ammo that anyone deems "bad ammo". I will even pay for the shipping.

This is contrary to numerous threads and High Roaders' experiences...
