Good question. Like has been said, Nope and with good reason. Is there a die set like .45 Colt, .454, or .460 die that will be compatible with 45 ACP
just wondering
I’m going to get some.. not that cheap.. just wonderingGood question. Like has been said, Nope and with good reason.
The good news is dies for cartridges like the .45ACP and Colt last a lifetime.
What you getting? You might, just might, get some opinions around here.I’m going to get some.. not that cheap.. just wondering
Someone told me once, if you’re not making a dollar you lost a dollar. !What you getting? You might, just might, get some opinions around here.

When my now wife & I met we were both working two jobs (me when I wasn't also in school) and saving every dime to pay off mortgages or preparing to buy. That wasn't out of the ordinary in those days. Today you work to pay off someone else's loans.Someone told me once, if you’re not making a dollar you lost a dollar. !
Thanks. I've found them surprisingly helpful.I love your little decals on the dies, what do you make them with?

Oh yeah? That's from a guy who builds contraptions and loans them out to others in exchange for a service. Talk about making a dollar.Yeah, but you don't have to believe everything you hear.

I thought they were decals too. It was only on closer inspection that I saw that it was printing on tapeBrother P-Touch using their extra strength adhesive tape. Works great on smooth surfaces (maybe over kill) but can't say the same for textured surfaces like the press.
Do you have the Dual Ring Carbide Sizing die on the back of that tool head?.did I ever tell you I love me some Redding 45acp dies?
If you’re making dollars, that’s called counterfeiting. Treasury probably already has a no-knock warrant for your house.Someone told me once, if you’re not making a dollar you lost a dollar. !
We use those for cabling in server racks. It’s STICKY stuff.Thanks. I've found them surprisingly helpful.

No. The sizer is just the one that came in the carbide set. Bought the set and have swapped out everything else. The micro crimp is unnecessary but I really like the fine threads.I thought they were decals too. It was only on closer inspection that I saw that it was printing on tape

I have, in .38Spl, the dual Ring Sizer and the Competition Seater...couldn't bring myself the buy the Micro Crimp
All I have from Redding, in .45ACP, is the Competition Seater. That's all 45acp. In 9mm, so far I just have the completion seater. Working my way to complete set just have too many irons in the fire right now and it seems their prices have doubled in a few years.
I've been satisfied with a couple of Hornady's standard 45 Colt sizing dies (I think they call them "Custom Grade"). The sizing ring measures about .470", which yields about .473" or so with springback. My RCBS 45 Colt and 454 Casull sizers measure .466", which I consider too small for those cartridges. Not sure what diameter sizing rings Redding Lee, or Lyman use.Have yet to find a carbide die for the 45 long Colt that does not oversized the case.
They seem to have it figured out for the ACP.
