Anyone have experience with the new .45 GAP?

Love to hear about it....good or bad. I'm looking at the Springfield XD model for .45 GAP.

A couple weeks ago, I rented a Glock 37 and bought a couple boxes of ammo. All and all, it's a nice gun to shoot but really, I couldn't figure out what it did diff't or better than what I already have :scrutiny:

ooh! i have 45gap experience now! i found a casing at the range. i added it to my collection.

yeah, that's all. first time i've seen evidence of one being shot, though.

Model 37

I bought one of the first ones in this area, no particular reason for it though. I like the way it shoots, just a bit pricey now. Someone trying to build a better mousetrap.

.45 GAP Experiences

I like the 45 GAP. I replaced three 40 S&W pistols with a Glock 37 last year. The 45 GAP is a low pressure, safe round compared to the 40 S&W.The Gap is a good round to reload, every load from very light to very hot has been accurate, with no signs of over pressure[thanks to the fine design by Speer]. with most powders that is suited for the GAP, the case capacity is utilized, now my long time favorite the 45 ACP, many of the loads have more empty space in the case, than the part filled with powder. The 45 GAP seems to be relative equal to the 45 ACP, and in my opinion is more desirable than either the 40 S&W or the 357SIG. Everyone has thier own ideas , and this is mine. I like the 44 mag, 357mag, the 45 ACP , the 45 GAP the 9mm and the 22 long rifle. Just don't care for the 40 S&W or The 357 sig. To each his own :)

Have a 37 and 38. Only complaint is ammo is a bit expensive, although I wouldn't say prohibitively so. Haven't shot my 38 yet, but my 37 is lots of fun. Don't have a Glock 21 to compare it to, but I did like the smaller gripframe, which is the round's chief selling point.

Where are the best deals on ammo? Natchez????

No wallyworld wwb in 100 round packs, huh??

Cheaper than dirt (www.cheaperthandirt.com) is a good place to start, but look around locally. When shipping is factored in, the best local price is about even with the best price online. What prompted me to buy from CTD was that my favorite local shop couldn't get any. Supply seems to be loosening up now and it's starting to appear again. To make out ok online, you really need to buy in bulk, minimum of a case.

Oh, incidentally, you won't see WWB valuepacks unless this thing really takes off. At least a few years in the future, probably never.
